Former Nyeri MP Ngunjiri has admitted to keeping his notebook close to him as he learns a few things from President William Ruto. He is keen to learn the balancing act in politics, a field where he expects the president to perform excellently.
He mentioned that Ruto will not only be on top of things at the national and executive level but will also keep up with all the happenings at the grassroots. Ruto will not lose touch with the people and, therefore, he will know what they want at all times.
Ngunjiri was quick to note that this is a field that the former president failed to balance. He ended up leaning towards national politics but lost touch with the people. In the end, the electorate refused to listen to him on the choice of his inheritor. This is a mistake that the former MP does not expect Ruto to make.
