
Wainaina and Ruto
Wainaina wa Jungle an independent candidate who won the Thika Town parliamentary seatcin 2017 has retracted his earlier statement this week and quit Ruto's UDA. This coming just months after he hosted Ruto in his home area and openly endorsed him as the preferred candidate for the people of Mount Kenya.

This latest statement coming at a time when Ruto has been seen to continue with his quest to woe the mountain voters to electchim as president in August. Wainaina seen as a strong contender to succeed James Nyoro as the governor of the great County of Kiambu which is a vote rich area.
His defection coming just days after another Ruto loyalist from Kirinyaga decamped from the said party. Ruto seems to be loosing touch with the the leaders from the area after Moses Kuria to sent out a coded message Recently in regards to the people the Mountain will support in 2022.
