Today in the morning, the president of the republic of Kenya, Dr William Samoe Ruto was set to visit his Riftvalley backyard for the first time after winning the presidential election in the republic of Kenya. Now, as we talk, the head of state has already landed in Kericho county.
As seen from the video that he has shared on his facebook page, Ruto and his deputy, hon Rigathi Gachagua landed in Kericho at 10:00 am. The two are currently attending thanksgiving service at Green stadium, Ainamoi, Kericho county. As seen from the video, prominent Riftvalley leaders lead by Dr Erick Mutai, the governor of Kericho are present. Others are; senator Aaron Cheruyot, Oscar Sudi, Jahana Ngeno and Kipchumba Murkomen.
Ruto will be using this event to thank the entire Riftvalley region for turning up in large numbers to vote for him and his team during the last general elections.
