The deputy President William Ruto is current in Awendo, Migori county where he will be holding a harambee at the Awendo Central SDA Church and later in the day meet the people in a rally which he will use to sell out his 2022 presidential ambitions and agenda to the people.
Upon landing in Migori County, he was received by the Migori County Governor Zachary Okoth Obado, former Raila Odinga aide Eliud Owalo and the former Awendo Member of Parliament Jared Kopiyo amongst other little known politician's from the Nyanza region.
The visit by the deputy President William Ruto to the backyard of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga is expected to ignite a hunt for votes from the region taking into consideration that it could be a swing region come 2022.
