- Appearing before the committee, the CS castigated the VIP whom he remarked play victim to earn public sympathy.

"The problem with our country is that some people suffer from sympathy addiction."

According to the Interior CS Dr Fred Matiangi, some people in the gov't, whom he never mentioned are always looking for opportunities to lament about everything to attract sympathies.

The no-nosense CS took to Twitter saying the security sector make decisions after serious considerations knowing that they will be answerable.

The fearless CS say it has never been heard that a chief of staff of a senior office writing to @IG_NPS and before the letter is received, the same chief has already posted it on social media.

"This is juvenile activism. If unchecked this vulgarising of important offices will erode the dignity of our country, Kenya's institutions."

Dr was keen to note there’s an overlap between business and public service.

"If you are the IG and you receive a request to deploy security to private business from a VVIP, it becomes very difficult to say No."

The CS details that they need statutory action, as security team to curb the possibility of misuse of security personnel provision.
