The Rift Valley regional commander George Natambeya is officially getting into politics. On 3rd January 2022, the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) officially endorsed Commissioner George Natembeya as the party flag bearer for the gubernatorial seat, Trans Nzoia County come 2022 general elections.
He began his campaigns by attacking his opponent, the current Member of Parliament for Kiminini Constituency, claiming he is inexperienced to run for the seat.
Natembeya’s remarks sounded disrespectful and demeaning to Hon. Chris Wamalwa has served his constituents for 10 years now.
His remarks starred an intense reaction from Hon. Wamalwa’s supporters felt disrespected.
According to Commissioner Natembeya, his 25 years of experience cannot be matched with Hon. Wamalwa’s 10 years of experience.
Natembeya was speaking at St. John’s Catholic Church in Kiminini during the launch of a health center.
Both Natembea, and Hon. Chris Wamalwa seek to succeed H. E. Governor Patrick Khaemba on DAP-k and FORD-K tickets respectively.
