Photos: ODM Governor No Show As Raila Visits His County

Former prime minister Raila Odinga on Saturday, 25th February 2023, attended the homecoming party of the Democratic Action party member of Parliament Dick Maungu in Luanda constituency Vihiga county.

The former prime minister was accampied by Democratic Action party leader former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, the immediate former Kakamega County governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Leader of minority in the National Assembly Opiyo Wandayi who is also the member of Parliament for Ugunja constituency.

However, Vihiga county county Wilberforce Ottichilo who was elected on the Orange Democratic Movement party ticket was no where to be seem during the event that occured in his county.

The attendance of the event was confirmed by the Democratic Action party which shared photos of thr attendees on its official social media pages.

"Our National Organizing Secretary and Luanda MP @dickmaungu today played host to Azimio brigade led by @RailaOdinga, Party Leader @EugeneLWamalwa and other leaders during his homecoming ceremony." The Former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa's party stated in a statement on the Official Twitter handle.

It is not yet clear why Ottichilo did not come out to welcome his party boss, however, the second time governor has been supporting the government since Ruto won. He has held several meetings with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi who also hails from Vihiga county.
