The 2027 politics are currently underway even if it is 5 years away from us. The Mt Kenya leaders are currently strategizing on the best deal that they will get in the current government of William Ruto and in the next government.
During the last elections, 87% of Mt Kenya voted for William Ruto despite their former leader Uhuru Kenyatta supporting Raila Odinga alsmost to the man. Ruto and Rigathi shaped up the politics of Mt Kenya. What is currently happening is the change of guard in the kingpinshio of Mt Kenya where Rigathi and Karua are struggling to clinch the esteemed seat previously held by Uhuru.
However, William Ruto has got the highest upper hand that Uhuru in determining the next leader of the region. Ruto is loved by the majority of the residents of the mountain. Rigathi has been eying for the seat as he supports William Ruto. Ruto's close allies from Mt Kenya are reported to be unhappy with the latest move by the deputy president to assemble leaders behind him instead of supporting Ruto as they earlier vowed.
Rigathi, Ndindi Nyoro, William Kabogo and Mutahi Kahiga are said to be fighting for the leadership of Mt Kenya after William Ruto. Sources indicates that Ndindi Nyoro could be picked by William Ruto in 2027 in case Rigathi misbehaves.
