CS Fred Matiang'i 'Carries' Home a Piece of Nyeri County (Photos)

Powerful Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i was on Friday treated to a warm welcome by Nyeri residents where he had spent the day during an official tour of the central Kenya region.

On his way out, the cabinet secretary had to 'carry a piece of Nyeri County' as disclosed by Nyeri Deputy Governor HE Madam Carol Karugu through her Facebook page.

"CS MATIANGI CARRIES HOME A PIECE OF NYERI COUNTY. If you visit us or even transit through Nyeri, we insist that you carry back some of our produce - a piece of Nyeri County. Some warus, kitunguu, nyanya... . Please carry as much as you can there is enough for everyone 😊.Asante Daktari!" DG Carol Karugu.

According to photos released by the deputy governor, the cabinet secretary is seen doing shopping of different items including potatoes, onions, tomatoes and other items from a market.

Kenyans have Celebrated the act and wished the deputy governor the very best for her hospitality having been one of the most notable leaders in the high profile delegation that welcomed the cabinet secretary.
