Orange Democratic Movement, ODM has embarked on massive voters registration ahead of 2022 August 9th Election. This initiative is targeting to register new voters in Raila's all strongholds, Kisumu, Homabay,Siaya, Kisii, Nyamira and Migori.
This follows an alarm that was raised by Raila Odinga during a gathering in Siaya where he Revealed that their was no need to vie for presidency if his people do not want to register as voters. Raila was also concerned about the large number of adults who have attained the age of majority yet do not have IDs.
Raila's plea comes after the Registrar of Persons said that thousands of National Identification cards remain uncollected in Different counties within Nyanza region.
Sources within the drive also hinted that Raila's party,ODM does not want to be left behind especially after UDA, DP Ruto's party, embarked on a similar exercise to recruit new members in Ruto's strongholds.
