As the battle for Kirinyaga County governtorial race take a new dimension, the incumbent Governor Ann Mumbi Waiguru has reacted to Purity Ngirici continuous attacks on her over joining UDA party. According to Purity Ngirici Ann Mumbi Waiguru was favourite for the seat by the party which was asking her to drop her governtorial ambitions and contest for Mwea parliamentary seat which she refused bitterly.After leaving UDA party she promised not to join any other party and that she intends to vie as an independent candidate. She went ahead to remove UDA party coulours in her offices to show her frustrations with the party decisions. She however didn't disclose on the best presidential candidate but she claimed that the people of Kirinyaga County will choose their president of their choice when time comes.
On the other hand governor Waiguru holds a view that Hon Purity Ngirici is a coward Person who fears competition. She claimed that she left UDA party for fear of competition and promised her that she will outsmart her in the upcoming general election.
