The President flew out of the country in his official jet the Fokker 70 ER.
The chopper is managed by the Kenya Airforce and is said to be worth over Ksh 2 billion.
This luxury jet was acquired by the Kenyan goverment back in 1995 so as to aid the the transportation of VVIP.
The medium-sized plane was built in the Netherlands, and the cabin crew is thought to have received their training outside the country.
The jet has been modified to carry only 10 passengers instead of its initial capacity of up to 80 people. The Fokker 70 ER has a speed of 845km per hour and a range of 3,410km.
It is considered to be one of the most expensive private jets in the African continent. It was first used by the late president Daniel Arap Moi back in 1996 when he toured the neighbouring Uganda on official duties.
