Suleiman Shahbal has cleared the air after a photos posted by Deputy President William Ruto showing him, UDA leaders, and Selina Maitha whom he had appointed as his running mate before he stepped down from the Mombasa gubernatorial race.
He note that while he respect her decision to decide on her new political affiliation, is was her personal decision and doesn't reflect his position and that of his team.
"My team and I and the overwhelming majority of Mombasa residents remain firmly behind the Azimio la Umoja and our support for our party leader Raila Odinga is unshaken." He said.
Suleiman detailed that he will be at the forefront of the campaign for the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya winning team both at the local and national levels to ensure they form the next Gov't.
He further promised that this week, he 'll be part of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya team taking campaigns down the Coast region. "We are winning this election!"
