He is the fourth ODM elected governor to meet President William Ruto at State House after ascending to power. Others who have met President William Ruto is Kakamega County Governor Fernades Barasa, Mombasa County Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir and Kisii County Governor Simba Arati. They have indicated interest to collaborate with government from point of strength despite being from opposition side.
