President Uhuru Kenyatta has been annoyed by constant criticism by his deputy, William Ruto. He said that it is wrong for the deputy to be in the Jubilee Government and at the same time speak bad about it. CS Mucheru is one of those government officials who have attacked DP Ruto.
However, Hon. Duale has reacted to this and recently quoted the famous quote by the 38th President of the United States, Gerald Ford who once said that an impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.
He added that, maybe the people calling for the removal of the Deputy President, William Ruto hold the same thought as the former President of the United States but this is not the case for our Constitution.
Duale also said that it is interesting that even the United States Constitution in Article II, section 4 clearly defines how a Vice-President can be removed from office. It is not what the Congress defines as impeachable, it is what the Constitution defines as impeachable, he added.
