Kenyans Protest Xtian Dela's Move to Use LGBTQ Agenda for Political Propulsion

Kenyans on social media have fulminated against budding politician, Christian Dela who has made public his intentions to contest for the Westlands constituency seat after he took to social media to prioritise the legalization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer groupings which have been all along outlawed and regarded as social misfits.

The influential blogger proposed for laws to be legislated and protect the groups instead of criminalizing and stigmatizing them. Dela was largely seen to be riding on the controversial topic as a means to gain political mileage ahead of 2022 general elections.

" Let's be real, most young people in Kenya are part of the LGBTQ community. It is high time as Kenyans we accepted this fact and legislate laws that protect them instead of criminalizing and insulting them". Read part of Dela's lenghty social media post.

His message was meted with a lot of resistance from Kenyans, saying the influencer had lost track by choosing to indulge in non-issues which most Kenyans cannot resonate with.

If Dela will keep his word, then he will have to battle with Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi to capture the Westlands seat that is currently under the outgoing member of parliament Timothy Wanyonyi.

Varied reactions from Kenyans were as follows;

Marleen: Christian, honestly you need advisers because you are loosing direction. who is going to change their voting centres to come to Westlands for your crude agenda.

Kimuyu: Kenya is not ready for such crap.

Paul: no we are not going to accept, so this is what you want to go and promote in Parliament.

Njuguna: hope no one will support you or vote For you in 2022 for trying to mislead Kenyans and that is something God is against.

Aricha: you lost focus long time ago, who else wants cheap ideas as manifesto. If you are gay be!
