The party leader of the Orange Democratic Movement, honorable Raila Odinga, went on social media in order to congratulate Engineer Pavel Oimeke of his party. This is after enduring all the hurdles in order to clinch the Bonchari Constituency Parliamentary seat. He thanked the people who voted him in for their unwavering support for the party. Many Kenyans rushed online inorder to comment on that post.
Many people said that the ODM party is still the party to beat in Kisii County. They said that the Gusii land votes will always go to Raila Odinga and his team. They congratulated the newly elected leader and advised him to work well for the people of Bonchari Constituency, and bring more development to that region.
Some of the people also said that the government tried its best to try and intimidate the people from the other political parties but did not succeed. They said that the people of Bonchari constituency guarded their votes very well and curbed any form of cheating and malpractice in that by-election.
Other people also said that Pavel Oimeke was elected, because he is a visionary person who understands the political needs of the people. They also thanked the ODM party for presenting them with a good leader.
Majority of the people also thanked the Governor of Kisii County, honorable Ongwae and the Senator of Kisii county, honorable Sam Ongeri for leading a good fight in that race. They said that the two leaders did everything possible to make sure that ODM clinched that seat.
