Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua joined president Ruto on a two days tour in Nyanza accompanied with other leaders.
The main aim of the tour is to discuss how the president will continue with the development from where the former government left and start new projects.
When Gachagua's turn to speak came, he acknowledged governor Gladys Wanga's speech where she said that Nyanza people belong to Baba (Raila Odinga).
He said that we all belong to Baba because we are all Kenyans. That Raila should be respected and given his rights that he deserve. He also mentioned that people should forget about the hatred that was their during campaigns because that was just a way of gaining votes.
He said, "Dadangu Gladys Wanga amesema nyinyi ni watu wa Baba na ni kweli. Kwani Baba ni wa nani? Hata baba ni wetu. Sisi hatuna shida na yeye kwa sababu uchaguzi uliisha... Apewe heshima."
According to Gachagua, Gladys, Nyanza leaders and a the residents belong to president Ruto because they are also Kenyans.
This elicited cheers from an excited crowd that probably did not expect him to say that considering how much he was against Raila.
