Several changes in the executive have been suggested by a section of Members of Parliament.

The leader of the Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee (CIOC), MP Jeremiah Kioni has brought about the suggestion of having five new offices.

The proposal is to have the office of the Deputy President split into two and have a Prime Minister post with his two deputies.

According to news podcast, the Deputy President's office will have two more deputies which will see role of a DP diluted.

The draft suggests that the Prime Minister will be appointed by the party with more MPs in the National House with his duties being of chairing the Cabinet meetings rather than the President.

The legislature stated: "It is necessary to dilute the DP position so that people can stop fighting for it. Right now everyone is jostling for the position."

This will be a bright move for stability in politics, but will this proposal be accepted and passed by the National Assembly?
