The former prime minister Raila Odinga was in Kuria constituency, Migori county where he was continuing drumming up support for his Azimio La Umoja campaign ahead of the August elections. The ODM leader was accompanied by a battery of leaders where he met the Kuria council of elders that endorsed him as their presidencial candidate in August polls.

As a sign of endorsement by the elders, Raila was given a small chair which symbolizes the presidencial seat that he will seat on after the August elections. The Kuria elders did this as they gave the chair to the former prime minister to fully Endorse him as their preferred presidential candidate.
