Since Martha Karua was named as Raila Odinga's running mate, Mt Kenya region has been seen changing tune in support of Raila Odinga as witnessed in the latest opinion polls where Raila-Karua ticket have emerged the winner.
Having toured Kirinyaga, Tharaka Nithi and Meru, today Martha Karua and the Jubilee team in Mt Kenya are expected to cause a mega political 'earthquake' in Rigathi Gachagua's backyard as the team is holding campaigns in Nyeri today.
Led by Martha Karua, Peter Munya, Jeremiah Kioni, and the Nyeri team including senator Ephraim Maina, Priscilla Nyokabi, Njeri Njoori, Ngujiri Wambugu, Muchemi Muchiri, Wambura Maranga, Martin Luther and Gichuki Mugambi are expected to tour the following stopovers Chaka Market, Nyeri Town, Giakanja and Othaya town.
Martha Karua since Tuesday has held over 30 campaign meetings in Mt Kenya with the aim of changing the perception of the mountain in supporting Raila Odinga to clinch to power in the coming general elections.
