Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC whis is the body responsible for the coming general election that will take place on August 9 has given out a press release concerning the same. The body has given out a notice that is targeted towards reaching all the voters in the country together with the various leaders contesting. In their twitter post the body has given out tge direction to be followed even as there goes on the process of voter registration.
The body has put on emphasis on two major guidelines for the election. These include the Electoral Code of Conduct and The election offenses act 2016. The electoral conduct would ensure that leaders elected in various parties or independently had no issues or incitement during their campaigns as any misconduct would lead to a miss charge. The Election offence Act 2016 needs every kenya to do no offence such as bribery during the election period.
The Commission through its various bodies urges kenyans to read through the notice attached below in order not to go on the opposite side of the law. Also they have insisted that Kenyans should register as voters before time elapses and they cry out for the elected leaders.
