On 28th September 2021, the Head of state and the commander in charge of the defense forces Uhuru Kenyatta has made changes on the cabinet secretaries.
The News report by citizen tv, reports that three major cabinet secretaries were affected by the changes made by the head of state. Those affected were Cs Eugine Wamalwa, Cs Monicah Juma and Cs Keter. Eugine Wamalwa was shifted to Defense force, Monicah Juma to Energy and Keter was shifted to Devolution. Cs Matiang'i were and Cs Kagwe were among the lucky cabinet secretaries that were not affected.

With less than a year for president Uhuru Kenyatta to end his contract as the Head of state, the country is now shocked with the changes made by the president wondering on the plans he has ahead of the coming election 2022. The Head of state has been reported of endorsing Raila to succeed him, and the changes made on the cabinet secretaries might favour his bid for the coming general election 2022.
