Mudavadi of late has been making impression on cameras for his skills in leadership. His profile as a once close ally to Mr. Odinga and the luhya community kingpin places him a few step before his rival. Mudavadi entered politics in 1989 as a successor of his father Moses Mudamba Mudavadi at the age of 29 years old. Well Mudavadi has been seen many times coming second to presidential candidates including moi, Kenyatta and his old friend Raila Odinga. Well his educational profile also qualifies him as a well skilled and responsible leader. Musalia has been a polite and humble leader yet aggressive when addressing issues affecting the country. After the former prime minister honorable Odinga sided with the government, he took the role of opposition and tried to keep the government on toes for the sake of effective delivery. Well eyes started to stare at him during the burial of his mother. President Kenyatta who addressed the crowd during the burial ceremony pointed out challenges of the current system of elections. He said that the time has come for the presidency to be rotated in various communities and for such he meant that the presidency should come from the luhya community in the coming elections. Though the statement was not taken lightly by his deputy it is evident that eyes are set for him. The question is will he deliver? Of course he has what it takes… being in the government from the time he was 29 years is enough experience to qualify him for the top seat. Mudavadi had once served as a vise president and a deputy prime minister a position which is very close to presidency. He was also a once a minister for finance but though it did not go well with him. Mudavadi has been in the fore front in fighting corruption in our country. With ethnic politics thriving in the country he may win the heart of many Kenyans since he is a neutral person who is not sidelined by the same. Actually no tribe hates him as for the others in the row. His political party which has provided a fair platform for anyone also places him on top of the rest.
