President William Ruto has sided with CS Moses Kuria on the issue of Maize Importation. It's clear that going into the future, the output especially on maize is not as expected. The president is clear that issues maize shortage must be bridged through importation to avoid leading more Kenyans to suffering.

President Ruto who convened a Cabinet meeting made it clear that issues maize is a major concern in his administration. He has made efforts to ensure that no Kenyan dies because they cannot afford food. It's expected that moving into the future, the government will import maize.
The president has made it clear that Maize will be imported in January to bridge the gap which has been there. It's expected that this move might face resistance from farmers who are harvesting.
The government of president William Ruto has made it clear that most Kenyans are suffering immensely because of the high cost of Unga. Whether maize will be imported to help Kenyans who are suffering hunger, let's wait and see of what happens for it's a fact that we truly live in interesting times.
