ODM party leader Raila Odinga while in Nyando, Kisumu told the residents what might make him opt out of the presidential vying position. The leader is yet to give his final decision on the seat by the end of this month. This is after the vote registration process started countrywide on October 4th.
While in Nyando and Vihiga, the former prime minister was not pleased with the number of voters who turned out for the registration process. He told the people that his decision on whether he will stand for the presidential seat will be determined by the number of supporters who could have registered.
He told them that his supporters should be armed with voters' cards if they want to see him run for the seat. ''If I have to win, I need a strong army to support me,'' Raila said while in Nyando. He openly told the people that he had confidently vowed to challenge deputy president William Ruto but the small turnout of voters at the centers for registration might make him change his mind.
