William Ruto is determined to bag as much votes as possible in the coming general election. For a good number of years,Ruto has been campaigning. This has seen president Kenyatta blame him for absconding his duties and instead majoring in the campaigns. However,Ruto himself has said that it is Kenyatta himself who took away his roles and assigned someone else. The DP has picked Gachagua as his running mate.
Kenya Kwanza too is facing its own challenges just like in Azimio la Umoja. There are party leaders who are feeling neglected in Ruto's campaigns especially in central Kenya. In Western Kenya, the ANC party through allies such as Cleophas Malala told Ruto to keep off Western Kenya politics
However, jitters are still getting reported. It has emerged that DP Ruto held a meeting with only UDA party candidates but failed to invite the other allies. The meeting was majorly called to strategise for campaigns in Nyandarua county after the team facing backlash just after choosing Gachagua as running mate.Is DP slowly loosing key allies from the region?
