After reading the argument Raila Odinga and Martha Karya made before the Supreme Court during proceedings challenging Mr. Chebukati's declaration of William Ruto as the president-elect, Third Way Party leader Dr. Ekuru Aukot made fun of them.
According to information obtained by Citizen television Kenya, Azimio La Umoja One Kenya chose Chebukati's decision to release the reports without consulting anyone as the basis for its presidential petition. Azimio claimed that the other four commissions, led by Cheers, were not informed of Chebukati's decision before it was made.
However, Akuru Aukot, however, asserts that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chair's sole responsibility as the National Returning Officer is the announcement of the results. As a result, Mr. Chenukati was correct to do so. He makes fun of Azimio's action by saying, "Dead on arrival."
