President Moi was loved and hated in equal measures but was not afraid to take the bull by its horns. The late President Moi will be remembered by Kenyans as a leader who used parables to pass a message to the people.
Moi was referred to as the professor of politics by some Kenyans due to his unpredictability in politics. The former President taught many top politicians in the country how politics in Kenya keeps changing and what you will need to do to stay relevant.
Moi prophesied many things which came to pass. At one time he alluded to the fact that his party, The Kenya African National Union (KANU) will rule Kenya for 100 years.
"Chama cha Kanu ni chama cha wenyewe," Moi said.
With less than 10 months to general elections, all politicians in the country are in their last-minute rush assembling their troops getting ready for the big test come 2022.
The list has William Ruto, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, ODM party leader Raila Odinga, and ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi. All the leaders have already shown early signs of vying for the Presidency. The four were at one time in KANU's government.
Kenyans come next year, they are likely elect one among the four leaders as their next President. This means Moi's prophecy that KANU will rule for 100 years will live on and the party [kanu] will continue running the country.
