Governor Anne Waiguru had initially hinted at supporting Odinga in the 2022 general election before BBI was nullified in the Court of Appeal. After the nullification of BBI at the Court of Appeal, Governor Waiguru has shown many cases of changing her initial sentiments of supporting Odinga in 2022. Speaking today, Waiguru said she will respect the decision of the people and follow the path they deem good. She added that people are the ones to vote and decide the candidates best for them and their development in 2022.
"I am listening very keenly and I will go with the people's decisions. So if the people tell me to go this way, I will go, Because they are the ultimate people who will elect me," Waiguru said.
The sentiments of Waiguru come barely one week after the Director of Criminal Investigation questions her over some money deals that she interpreted as political fights. Governor Ane Waiguru is among the leaders who have voices in the Mount Kenya region and her decision has much impact on the politicians she decides to support.
