Kenyan politics have always attracted interest from many citizens. The situation at the country currently is heating up considering that the elections are coming up in some 3 months time. DP Ruto and Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga have been intensifying their campaigns to convince Kenyans to accept and vote them in.
While this happens, one event that has been unifying Kenyans is the national prayer breakfast that is always held on the 26th of every May. This means tomorrow we shall be having the event where ledgers from all aspects will converge and pray for the Nation. All top leaders including Raila, Ruto and Uhuru have been invited by the planners who are the parliamentary commission.
The theme of this year's prayer breakfast is transition as we anticipate a new government from August.
One senior politician has spoken about the even saying that its upon the leaders to attend, Kenyans will be expecting to see both Raila and a Ruto share the podium. This comes at a time when the Deputy President and the Commander in chief have a broken relationship. Dan Maanzo proceeded to note that Kalonzo Musyoka will miss the even since he is out of the country currently.
“We have invited everyone, the Deputy President, Mr Odinga and even the Chief Justice. It is now upon them to choose to attend or not. It is only Kalonzo that we know is not in the country and therefore will not attend but the rest we expect at Safari Park,” says Dan Maanzo, the co-chair of the event.
