The Deputy President, William Ruto, together with his allies have been kicked out of the building where they had set up their offices of the Jubilee Asili. These offices were secured after the deputy president was barred from holding meetings with his supporters at the Jubilee Party Headquarters building. It is said the landlord informed them that he does not want his property to be used for political activities.
The supporters of the deputy president wanted the Jubilee Asili headquarters to be used as the center of campaigns for the deputy president in 2022. Raphael Tuju had announced that the deputy president will no longer serve as the deputy party leader of the Jubilee Party after opening the Jubilee Asili headquarters until the matter is discussed.
Anonymous members who are supporters of the deputy president have said the landlord is being coerced to throw them out. The landlord has refused to sell the property to them.
