With all eyes and ears fixated on the televisions and radios across the country waiting to hear the new president-elect on the election that was concluded yesterday the ninth of August.
In every race there is a winner and a loser and so is the electoral race, there are the victors and the losers. Though painful some political candidates accept defeat and others petition for the results in courts as stipulated by the law.
In the just concluded general election, Kieni MP Kanini Kega accepted defeat after the returning officer for Kieni announced the results for the parliamentary race. Kanini Kega was seeking to defend his parliamentary seat for the third time having served for ten years on a Jubilee party ticket.
In his official Twitter account, Kanini Kega said that there are lots of jobs apart from politics. This follows his defeat to UDA Candidate who is yet to be disclosed. Kanini has turned to sewing as his part time job while waiting for the presidential results to be announced.
