KKA MP Spills Beans About What Maraga Did To Uhuru Kenyatta That Koome Will Soon Do To Ruto

Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC) Chair George Gitonga Murugara has spoken out about what Chief Justice Martha Koome plans to do to President William Ruto in the near future.

The DP candidate for Tharaka's seat in the National Assembly has told The Nation in an interview that Supreme Court Chief Justice David Maraga plans to write to President William Ruto.

According to Murugara, the letter is an attempt to get president William Ruto to recall parliament for failing to uphold the two-thirds gender rule norm as set forth in the constitution.

"Since the dissolution of parliament hinged on the issue of gender rule the last time around, this is a matter of extreme importance. Soon, Chief Justice Martha Koome will make a similar request of the president. Is the president going to follow the advice of the chief justice or go against it? "legislator posed the question.

In the waning days of his presidency, former President Uhuru Kenyatta was put in a difficult position when the country's chief justice, David Maraga, requested that he dismiss parliament due to concerns over gender parity in the legislature.
