CITAM Church Leader Criticized After Advice To President Uhuru Kenyatta [reactions]

The people of Kenya were not pleased with President Uhuru Kenyatta's decision on shut down of the Kenya's four major counties, which are thought to be the super spreaders of the deadly Coronavirus.

First, when he quarantined Nairobi, Nakuru, Machakos, Kiambu, and Kajiado, he did not propose a solution to reduce the virus by vaccinating residents in the five counties. Second, the President's advisers and experts did not shirk their responsibility to assist the residents of these counties who had lost their livelihoods.

It is only by God's grace that they have survived. Some people admired the president's boldness in refusing to listen to the yelling crowd.

Doctor Bishop David Oginde of the Christ is the Answer Church, popularly known as CITAM Church, has come under fire on social media for allegedly massaging the President about the state of the country that led to lockdown of four counties.

Bishop David Oginde is one of those who has praised President Kenyatta for refusing to open the five counties amid pressure from people.

The Bishop has cited several Scriptures from Genesis to Exodus, urging him not to listen to the yelling crowd about opening the counties.

He has, however, been mocked for becoming involved in politics rather than spreading the gospel. Here are some of the tweets from Kenyans who responded to the pastor's message to the president:

Do you agree with Bishop David Oginde's statement that the President should not pay attention to the people?
