Of the most recent opinion poll by Mizani Africa is anything to go by, then the UDA MP is headed for a humiliating defeat at the ballot with Jubilee Party candidate Irene Njoki taking full control of the race.

According to the opinion poll by Mizani Africa, Njoki is in a better position to dethrone Ngunjiri, who is a key ally of Deputy President William Ruto.
As per the poll, the Jubilee Party candidate is enjoying a commanding lead with 61% popularity with the incumbent at just 31%.
With only 40 days remaining to the August 9 general election, the controversial Ngunjiri is in race against time to put his house in order if he is to be in the next Parliament. If not, he will limp into the battlefield and get battered at the ballot by Njoki.
Having found herself in an unending political war with Senator Susan Kihika who is gunning for the Nakuru Governor seat, Ngunjiri has a mountain to climb. Will he recover?
