The deputy president William Ruto has been dealt a major blow after several leaders from the Maasai community dumped his UDA party for ODM party. The leaders made it clear they will henceforth support the ODM party and not UDA as previously.

This is clearly not only a blow to DP Ruto personally but the entire UDA party. It's already clear already UDA has lost supporters from several regions including Kisii as well Mt Kenya and the Coast region to ODM.
The leaders clearly made it clear they will back Odinga and not William Ruto whom they accuse of lying. It's clear as things stand we have only two strong parties ODM and UDA as the rest others have been reduced to nothing.
However as a matter of fact it's an issue of wait and see of what will unfold moving into the 2022 general election especially in the Maasai community. It's clear things are becoming extremely difficult for this top two contenders owing to the massive defections into different parties.
