'Ruto, Ruto, ' Meru Residents Welcome Ruto In A Style Bringing The Town To A Standstill

The deputy president William Ruto has today taken his campaigns to Meru town in his 4 day visit in Mt. Kenya East. As he traversed the town, he received a grand welcome from the residents who showed real love for him and the entire Kenya Kwanza team that accompanied him. This warm reception is am indication that he still has influence in the county.

The Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate and his team had pitched camp in the outskirts of the town this morning where he replied to the allegations by the Azimio One Kenya brigade of his attempt to slap President Uhuru Kenyatta. This is after allegations that the president had agreed to concede the 2017 results but Ruto intervened and made him remain in his seat.

Ruto has been campaigning vigorously across the country in a bid to popularise himself ahead of the August 9 polls. He is anticipating a tough competition with Azimio's presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
