Kakamega Residents To Enjoy Fruits Of Devolution As Governor Oparanya Tightens Belt In Development

Kakamega county governor Wycliffe Oparanya has tightened his fight of development. This is in attempt to make sure that the residents get their own fare share of devolution projects.

According to him, devolution has contributed greatly to transformation of Kakamega County through development projects.

His Government has invested more resources on developing all parts of the County to ensure our people taste and enjoy the fruits of devolution.

The last nine years that he has been in office as the first Governor of this great County of Kakamega my Administration initiated development projects at the grassroots to alleviate poverty and uplift the living standards of the people.

Through public participation residents play a key role in identifying projects that will transform their lives.

Today he held a meeting with stakeholders and residents of Lugari Sub County to discuss development projects in the area.

Senior County Government officers led by CECMs and Chief Officers are using the platform to make public development projects my government has initiated in the Sub County and those ongoing.

The residents have the opportunity to engage him directly on development programmes, share their grievances and give ideas that will help the County achieve is development agenda.

He appreciate the support he has gotten from the people of Lugari SubCounty in achieving his development agenda.

This is the third public participation meeting he has held with residents. He started this programme in Butere Sub County then moved to Likuyani. Tomorrow he will hold a similar meeting at Shamberere Polytechnic in Malava Sub County

He was accompanied by his Deputy H.E Prof Philip Kutima, County Secretary and Head of Public Service Madam Jacinta Aluoch, CECMs, MCAs, Chief Officers among other officers.
