Kisii Senator Onyonka: Politicians Refused To Deal With The Issue Of Lands Because Of This Reason

Richard Onyonka Senator, Kisii said that Politicians have refused to deal with the issue of lands because they own majority of the lands.

Yusuf Hassan MP, Kamukunji stated that Since 2012, they have seen in practice that there are problems in the execution of the Land Act. It’s a brilliant idea to separate the two because we can’t have the National Land Commission as the judge, jury, and executioner.

Gladys Shollei on why President Ruto has suggested the removal of certain functions from the National Land Commission to the Ministry of Lands. Shollei said, “There has been a long-standing row between the National Land Commission and the Ministry of Lands."

Godfrey Osotsi Senator, Vihiga said that When we look at the appointments made by the Kenya Kwanza government, we clearly see the beginning of corruption; individuals are being appointed to earn rather than to work and deliver. Board members don't make much money; in a year, they can get Sh. 320,000 for four sittings, but they make more money by twisting the technical staff's arms through tendering and employment

Gladys Shollei stated that A CS does not have to be an expert in the docket assigned to them, but the point is, are they visionary leaders? If they are, they will rely on the technical employees hired specifically for their skills.
