Independent electoral and boundaries commission IEBC yesterday, released the presidential results. Chairman of IEBC Wafula Chebukati declared DP William Ruto as the president elect and Rigathi Gachagua as the deputy president elect. The process took place at the bomas of Kenya.
Azimio la Umoja one Kenya alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga was the only presidential candidate who did not attend the venue, despite being invited. His deputy Martha Karua did not also attend. The IEBC officials split before the announcement was done. They set that, they are not accountable to the results. The four officials who were not at the bomas, addressed the media at Sarena hotel.
The reception at Kisumu was not good, according to a video shared by NTV news on Twitter, Kisumu residents are waiting to hear from the four officials. They were eagerly waiting for Raila to be declared the victor.
