DP Ruto Brings Machakos Town to a Standstill as a Mammoth Crowd Blocks his Motorcade

Deputy president William Ruto is one of the most influential politician in Kenya. He attracts massive crowds whenever he visits any part of the country. He has also openly declared his presidential bid. He has crisscrossed various parts of the country popularizing his bid.

Today the deputy president brought Machakos Town to a standstill as a mammoth crowd blocks his motorcade. The crowd was in a jovial mood as the deputy president addressed them. He is accompanied by various leaders from the region.

The deputy president initially hosted business people and traders from the county for a empowerment program. He promised to continue supporting small scale businesses in the country. He popularized his new bottom-up economic model which aims at supporting small scale businesses in the country. The leaders fundraised funds to support Machakos county traders.

The deputy president is accompanied by various lawmakers in his tour in the county. Leaders present includes Machakos Town legislator Victor Munyaka, Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka, Kitui MP Nimrod Mbai and Mathira legislator Rigathi Gachagua.

The county is a stronghold of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. President Uhuru Kenyatta also visited the county this month to launch various government projects.
