Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission target is to register at least 4 million voters in the process that kicked off a week a go. Various political leaders and parties are out mobilising their supporters to strengthen their bid for various positions come 2022 elections which is a few months away.
UDA Party which is affiliated to the Deputy President seem to be all smiles as their plans for listing of new voters is going on well. Their mobilisation strategy seems to be working wonders since the Rift Valley which is their strong hold, have listed the highest percentage of new voters since the beginning of the new voters registration.
Among the Rift Valley Counties that have shown great voter listing is Samburu County where UDA enjoys political loyalty. Elgeyo/Marakwet comes at position two with 7%. Other Counties that did well are Wajir,West Pokot, Mandera,Nandi,Baringo,Narok,Turkana,and Tana Rivler.
All leaders from Rift Valley affiliated to UDA have come out to mobilise voters until the end of the process to get 1.6 million new voters in the region.
