Deputy president William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza alliance is divided over the treatment of fringe parties in the mega alliance that also comprises of Amani national Congress party of Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang'ula's Ford Kenya party.
Cracks have become visible especially in the vote rich Mt Kenya region with the region's leaders who belong to other fringe parties complaining of being marginalized in the kenya kwanza rallies in the region.
And it now seems the cracks have grown wider to a point that The Service party (TSP) leader Mwangi Kiunjuri has now come out to change his tune on a deputy president William Ruto presidency.
Speaking yesterday in an interview, Kiunjuri called upon the Laikipia county voters and other regions in the mountain to vote for a presidential candidate of their choice, a clear departure on his previous message to rally support for DP William Ruto.

This change of tune by Kiunjuri is seen as a protest against the sidelining of TSP candidates during Ruto's events in Mt Kenya.
