The battle among contestants of the Kirinyaga gubernatorial race keeps growing tough as we approach elections. Currently, the aspirants competing for that seat are the Incumbent, Ann Waiguru, and the Kirinyaga woman representative, Hon. Wangui Purity Ngirichi.
After the church service, the deputy president toured parts of Kirinyaga to spread the Gospel of the bottom up and youth empowerment.
During the meeting with the residents, the deputy president emphasized that, nominations on who will be the flag bearer of the gubernatorial sit in Kirinyaga will be determined by the Kenyans.
The deputy president said, the nominations will be free, fair, democratic and credible to ensure Kenyans from Kirinyaga get the best candidate who will battle with other candidates from other parties.
Tension has been high in the United democratic Alliance (UDA) party after Anne Waiguru decamped from Jubilee party and joined UDA. Kirinyaga women representative Wangui Ngirici has been giving sentiments that suggest she will have a second chance of being in the UDA party.
This is good news because the tension that were in the county even some hours to the deputy presidents visits were very high that, could cause a lot of Chaos between the two candidates.
