Office of The Deputy President Fires Back at Matiang'i Saying This

The Office of the Deputy President William Ruto has claimed that Ruto does not own some of the properties mentioned by Interior CS Fred Matiang’i earlier today.

Speaking before the National Assembly Committee on Administration and National Security, CS Matiangi insisted that the second in command has his security detail intact.

The office of Uhuru's deputy has responded after Matiangi listed 10 properties allegedly owned by Ruto, saying that the DP has been bestowed with 257 police officers.

The move by Matiang'i has since seen Ruto allies protest against the same with his secretary of communication dispelling the revelation coming from Matiang'i.

David Mugonyi continued to say that even in 2018 his boss was interested in going through the layers of a lifestyle audit so that Kenyans could know his assets.

“Deputy President was not elected in August 2021. He has been serving since 2013. It is deceitful and fraudulent of Dr. Matiang’i to wake up today and suddenly realise that the DP’s residence is not a protected area and not entitled to GSU protection.” he said.

According to Ruto's Secretary of communication, Matiang'i has shown disrespect by mentioning inaccurate data concerning the second in command while speaking in parliament.
