On Friday, Deputy President William Ruto embarked on his campaigns in the Rift Valley region, this time round landing in West Pokot County.
The DP started his campaigns in Sigor West Pokot, where he received a massive reception from locals who had turned up in large numbers.
The reasons why the Governor of the county skipped the event maybe because he has been associated with the former prime Minister Raila Odinga. The governor received last year the former prime Minister Raila Odinga and declared his support for him.
Also another reason maybe that the Governor fears that the United Democratic alliance party candidate may beat him in upcoming general election as he will be vying using his own party.
The Deputy president William Ruto also looks like he won't support him in his bid to retain his seat as the governor.
The Deputy president William Ruto is expected to continue with his tour across the country to ask the great people of Kenya to vote him as the fifth president.
