At the state house today, Mama Rachel Ruto stood out when she received visitors from the Girl Guide Society of Kenya, a girl wing of the Kenya Scouts. This occurred just a few days after her tours abroad ended and she arrived in the Republic.
In an update, the first lady said that the team asked her to take over from her predecessor, former first lady mama Margaret Kenyatta, as head of the Girl Guide Society.
She is now expected to become the society's new matron, which houses nearly two million girls from various institutions across the nation.
This is taking place at the same time that President William Ruto succeeds his predecessor, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, as leader of the Kenyan Boys Scouts.
The first lady has stated that she will ensure that the Girl Guide Society of Kenya achieves significant success during her administration.
