Kenyans' Mixed Reactions On Juliana Cherera's Resignation

Kenyans raised mixed reactions as Juliana Cherera resigns as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) vice-chairperson. She resigns days after President Ruto gazetted a tribunal to probe four suspended commissioners. Nonetheless, she becomes the second commissioner to resign after Justus Nyang'aya.

Juliana Cherera among Justus Nyang’aya, Wanderi, and Irene Masit are accused of gross misconduct, abuse of office, and violation of the Constitution. Consequently, the National Assembly received the four petitions seeking to remove them from the office which culminated in their suspension.

Perhaps, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has been defending the commissioners claiming that they stood for justice and the rights of Kenyans. On the other hand, the Kenya Kwanza Alliance has been pressurizing the commissioners to tell Kenyans the truth behind their allegations.

As she resigns, Kenyans give mixed reactions as in the comments section below;
