Patrick Gathungu, a Member of County Assembly Leshau Pondo ward in Nyandarua county is serving his first term. He won through the jubilee ticket during the 2017 general elections.
Hon Gathungu during his campaigns promised to change the face of Leshau Pondo Ward by making it a trade hub of Nyandarua county. He promised to build all weather roads, provide water for domestic and irrigation, improve health care, focus on youths and more promises.
Four years down the line, the MCA is yet to fulfill whatever he promised to his people. This rural road is only best when it is not raining. When it rains, the motorist and drivers are forced to use long distances to get paths that will connect them to the tarmac roads.Ndivai is a location in the ward but has been abandoned by the leader. This might be because the region has few votes compared to other villages in the same Ward.
Only few people access electricity from this ward.Ndivai dispensary which is in Leshau Pondo Ward is yet to be electrified despite the MCA's promise to revive it.
